2013 Shamrock Tournament

Another great Shamrock Tournament was held this past weekend at The Buffalo Club and at The T&S. 24 singles players and 16 doubles players ranging from D players to A players battled it out to receive the coveted honor of winning the Shamrock Tournament.

The Limerick Team came out on top on the singles side. The team consisted of:

• Gui Alvarez, Rob Drake, Bob Denman, Charlie Hunt, Rick Wolney, Bill Cleary and Walter Zurowski.

On the doubles side - a hard fought battle between Tripp Higgins and Dave Franko vs late entry Bill Pierce and Dave Steffan with Higgans/Franko coming out on top with a 3-2 win.

This marked the last year that the tournament will be run by Bill Cleary, John Cleary and Nelson Montgomery - a special thanks to them for many many years of great planning and fun!

Great day had by all - thanks for all who participated.

2013 BSRA Junior Tournament

We had an amazing turnout for the 2013 City Junior Squash Tournament last weekend.   66 eager players came out to compete.  We had 6 divisions, Boys and Girls U9-U11, Boys U13, Girls U13, Girls U15,  Boys U15–U19 and Girls U17-U19.

Thank you to the Saturn Club, Nichols School and Buffalo Seminary School for all their support in hosting these divisions for their final championship games.  We could not hold these championships without their support and court time.

All players played with great sportsmanship, and our Winners and Finalists are as follows:

Boys and Girls U9-U11:
